This webinar will walk attendees through the Helping More Families Save Act (Section 404 of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act), bipartisan legislation recently signed into law that authorizes HUD to test an innovative “opt-out” approach to the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program for up to 5,000 households. Housing providers who choose to participate in the test would be able to automatically enroll FSS-eligible households in the program, while preserving their choice to opt out. Compass stands ready to serve as a trusted partner to HUD and housing providers across the country as they bring this pilot program to market, lending our extensive field expertise to ensure this initiative’s successful and wide-reaching implementation. Attendees will learn the bill’s key features and have the opportunity to ask Compass policy and program staff questions about next steps now that the demonstration is officially authorized.
